The DINGXIN YBM 29 High Voltage / Low Voltage Prefabricated Substation — also known as the European Box-Type Transformer Substation — is a factory-assembled, factory-tested power distribution substation that combines the HV switchgear, the power transformer and the LV switchgear into a single compact, transportable enclosure.

Compared with conventional brick-built substations, the YBM 29 delivers a smaller footprint, faster on-site installation, higher reliability and a cleaner modern appearance. It is purpose-built for outdoor deployment in urban public distribution, residential areas, high-rise buildings, industrial parks, mining sites, ports, oilfields, stations, airports, subways and highways.

Three Independent Compartments

The YBM 29 is divided into three physically separated compartments, each engineered for its own function and safety zone:

01 · High-Voltage Room

  • Equipped with a Ring Main Unit (RMU) as standard.
  • Supports either air load switches or vacuum load switches to match user requirements.
  • Includes a five-prevention interlock system to prevent misoperation.
  • When using current-limiting fuses, the load switch automatically trips upon single-phase fuse operation, eliminating the risk of phase-loss faults downstream.

02 · Transformer Room

  • Compatible with both dry-type and oil-immersed transformers.
  • Oil-immersed versions can be supplied with an oil conservator or in fully sealed (no-conservator) form.
  • Supports natural ventilation as standard.
  • Optional automatic forced air-cooling system adjusts fan operation based on internal temperature.
  • Anti-condensation heater available on request for humid environments.

03 · Low-Voltage Room

  • Accommodates a complete set of low-voltage switchgear, fully customizable to user needs.
  • Switch cabinets built from high-quality sectional steel with excellent corrosion resistance.
  • Both HV and LV cables use cable-type connections for fast, clean wiring.
