DINGXIN's F-class Resin Cast Dry Distribution Transformer is a high-efficiency, oil-free three-phase distribution transformer with high and low voltage windings fully sealed in a thin layer of epoxy resin. Available in SC(B)10, SC(B)12, and SC(B)13 performance levels and capacities from 30 kVA to 2500 kVA, it is the ideal solution for load-center installations in high-rise buildings, airports, docks, power plants, residential areas, and complete substation systems.
Insulation Class: F (155°C) / H (180°C)
Capacity: 30 – 2500 kVA
HV: 6 / 6.3 / 6.6 / 10 / 10.5 / 11 kV
LV: 0.4 kV
Standard: IEEE C57.12.01 · IEC 60076-11
The SC(B)13 F-Class Resin Cast Dry Distribution Transformer is engineered with both high-voltage and low-voltage windings sealed and encapsulated in a thin layer of flame-retardant epoxy resin. This construction provides outstanding fire-retardant, self-extinguishing, moisture-proof, and heat-dissipation performance — without any insulating oil.
The result is a transformer that can be installed deep inside the load center, close to the actual loads, reducing cable length, voltage drop, and energy loss. It is the preferred choice for fire-sensitive, noise-sensitive, and maintenance-restricted environments such as high-rise buildings, hospitals, airports, underground substations, and data centers.
The product line covers three performance grades — SC(B)10, SC(B)12, and SC(B)13 — providing different loss levels to match project budget and efficiency requirements. SC(B)13 is the latest low-loss design, ideal for new installations and energy-efficient retrofits.

DINGXIN's F-class resin cast dry distribution transformer combines advanced material science with precision engineering to deliver six key advantages.
The high and low voltage windings are sealed in flame-retardant, self-extinguishing epoxy resin. In the event of a fault, the transformer will not sustain combustion — providing unmatched fire safety for indoor and load-center installations.
With no need for oil pits, fire walls, or oil-leakage containment structures, the dry-type design dramatically reduces civil works and installation cost. The compact, lightweight structure allows the transformer to be installed directly at the load center, saving cables and reducing line losses.
The fully encapsulated epoxy resin coil is completely sealed from the environment — no oil to check, no leaks to repair, no oil sampling required. Routine visual inspection is sufficient, dramatically lowering lifetime operating cost.
Epoxy resin encapsulation provides excellent moisture-proof performance. The transformer can operate reliably in humid environments (basements, tunnels, coastal areas) without additional dehumidification equipment.
High-purity epoxy resin combined with vacuum pressure impregnation (VPI) process delivers superior dielectric strength, low partial discharge, and long insulation life — even under switching and lightning overvoltages.
F-class (155°C) insulation is standard, with H-class (180°C) optional. The transformer can operate at high ambient temperatures and supports short-term overload beyond nameplate rating, with optional forced-air cooling for further capacity boost.

Thanks to its oil-free, fire-retardant, low-noise, moisture-proof, and maintenance-free design, the SC(B)13 F-class resin cast dry distribution transformer can be installed deep inside the load center and is widely used in:
Installed directly inside basement or floor-level substations of high-rise residential and commercial towers, providing reliable low-voltage distribution with maximum fire safety.
Powering terminal buildings, control towers, baggage handling systems, and port equipment where downtime is not an option and fire safety is paramount.
Auxiliary power distribution within thermal, hydro, and renewable power plants, including control rooms, switchgear rooms, and outdoor distribution enclosures.
Serving apartment complexes and urban residential districts, especially where underground substations require moisture-proof, low-noise operation.
Integrated into packaged substations and prefabricated switchgear rooms for utility distribution networks.

Q: What is an F-class resin cast dry distribution transformer?
An F-class resin cast dry distribution transformer is a three-phase distribution transformer in which the high and low voltage windings are sealed and encapsulated in a thin layer of epoxy resin, with F-class (155°C) insulation. The epoxy resin encapsulation provides flame-retardant, self-extinguishing, moisture-proof, and excellent heat-dissipation performance. It is oil-free, maintenance-free, and can be installed deep inside the load center. Typical models include SC(B)13-30~2500/10.
Q: What is the difference between SC(B)10, SC(B)12, and SC(B)13?
These model numbers indicate different performance / loss levels. The SC(B)13 series is the latest low-loss design, with significantly lower no-load and load losses than SC(B)10 and SC(B)12. The higher the performance code, the lower the loss — making SC(B)13 the most energy-efficient choice for new installations and SCB9 / SCB10 retrofits.
Q: Where can the F-class resin cast dry transformer be installed?
Because of its oil-free, fire-retardant, low-noise, and moisture-proof design, the F-class resin cast dry transformer is ideal for load-center installations, including high-rise buildings, airports, docks, power plants, residential areas, complete sets of substations, hospitals, data centers, and underground facilities.
Q: Does the resin cast dry transformer require maintenance?
No. The F-class resin cast dry transformer is essentially maintenance-free. There is no insulating oil to check or replace, and the fully encapsulated epoxy resin coil is protected from dust, moisture, and corrosion. Periodic visual inspection and cleaning are usually sufficient.
Q: What international standards does the SC(B)13 comply with?
The SC(B)13 F-class resin cast dry distribution transformer is designed, manufactured, and tested in accordance with IEEE C57.12.01, IEEE C57.12.91, UL 5085-1, IEC 60076-11/16, and IEC 50588-1 — the leading international standards for dry-type distribution transformers.
Q: What do the temperature codes 130°C, 155°C, and 180°C mean in the loss table?
These codes indicate the maximum allowable winding temperature of different insulation classes. 130°C corresponds to Class B (100°C average temperature rise), 155°C corresponds to Class F (120°C rise), and 180°C corresponds to Class H (145°C rise). Higher temperature class means higher overload capability at the same insulation design, and the load loss figures vary accordingly.
Q: What is the typical delivery time for the SC(B)13 10kV transformer?
Standard delivery time is 20–30 working days for capacities 30–1000 kVA and 30–45 working days for 1250–2500 kVA. Custom designs, OEM / ODM, and special tests (e.g., short-circuit withstand, temperature rise) are available on request.
Q: Can DINGXIN provide OEM/ODM and custom voltage combinations?
Yes. DINGXIN supports OEM / ODM manufacturing, custom logos, and full engineering customization including voltage combination (e.g., 6.3 / 6.6 / 10.5 / 11 kV), tap range, impedance, vector group, enclosure color, and protection class to meet specific project specifications.
